PMG Productions presents 'My Dear Howey', a fully staged performance using extracts of the original letters from Georgiana, 1st Countess Spencer of Althorp, to her lifelong friend Mrs Howe. When John, 1st Earl Spencer died in 1783 at the age of forty-nine, it was the end not just of a marriage, but of a love affair. He had been in love with Georgiana since his late teens, and this moving performance covers the period leading up to the death of her "dear, dear husband" and its 
aftermath.

This mesmerising performance will start at 17:30 in the State Dining Room and afterwards there will be drinks and canapés served in the Saloon and then private tours will be held around the House. During this tour all of the items relating to the first Countess Spencer that are in the House will be brought to your attention - along with plenty of anecdotes of her time here at Althorp.
